KELVA’s milestones over the past 50 years

1969

KELVA is founded in Lund/Sweden. Brakes for web tension control and diaphragm pumps for the printing industry were the main products in the beginning.

1977

In the fall of 1977, KELVA moves into the newly built company building.

1982

At Drupa ’82 in Düsseldorf, KELVA is presenting the new technology of non-contact web cleaning. Micro-vibrations are generated by blowing air against a material web, exposing particles and dust.

1982

KELVA is taken over by the Swiss CHROMOS Group and thus becomes part of a strong and respected supplier in the printing industry and many other processing industries in the European DACH region.

2000

KELVA introduces the web cleaner with direct contact with the material web: A technology that combines adhesive rollers and polymer rollers lifts contaminants from the material web and removes them.

2016

KELVA relocates production to the CHROMOS Group’s headquarters in Switzerland. The sales office, R+D and engineering remain in Sweden, and the claim “Designed in Sweden + Made in Switzerland” underlines the unbroken striving for the highest innovation and quality.
